Cheezpie & Beef :)

As you can see - if you’ve read my earlier posts - I really just want a guinea pig or a puppy. I’ve experienced having a puppy, and guess what? Only me and a bit my dad wanted to take care of her!

So, since we gave her away =(  ……. I know that we won’t be getting another puppy in….well a while.

But, for some reason, that’s effected the chance of me getting a guinea pig too. If you want to know why, keep reading. If you don’t, there’s nothing more to see, really.

So here’s why;                                                                                                                                                                                                                         a) my parents think that if a puppy is too much for them, they can’t handle a guinea pig. (THERE’S A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!)                                                                                                                                                                                                                         b) they think that maybe, a guinea pig could be more trouble since I’m - apparently - the only one willing to take care of one.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 c) well there would be a list okay?! maybe on another post I’ll say.

Boxing Day today!!! I went to the mall and it was extremely crowded. Probably NOTHING compared to what  it would’ve been if I were still in Toronto though. Did I mention I used to live in Toronto? I’ve missed my friends so much back here. Well, the stores we went to were called Bluenotes’, Stitches, American Eagle, and a few others but my bro went to go check out EB Games for a bit I think so yea…

I also watched this weird movie called Julie&Julia. I only liked it because of the cooking and stuff.(I like to cook.) But, other than that it was just something I watched for the sake of it I guess. It’s not THAT bad.. but it still wouldn’t be something I would like really CHOOSE if I had the choice.

I still miss Christmas… it is like my FAVORITE holiday. There’s a whole bunch of reasons why. Barely had any dinner. What my mom said was ‘dinner’ was at like 12:45 p.m.

I’m so excited for Christmas! XD

I can barely wait but there are also barely any presents under my tree yet.

I have to go somewhere soon but I just wanted to say what I would be doing for Christmas this year.

I’ll probably go skating a ton and today(Christmas Eve) I am having some close friends over.

On Christmas Day, I’ll be going to someone else’s house with a few other friends.

It’s Jess…I got a new puppy from the Winnipeg Humane Society and now we have to give her away because my mom is really allerigic and me and my dad are the only ones who really really actually want to take care of Lacy(my puppy). :’(… now we have to give her away.  :(                                                                    This is my puppy, Lacy>  

That’s how sad she was in the Humane Society. She was happy with us and now we have to give her awaaayyyy! :’(

Yo!!!

It’s Jess…school is actually going okay. I’m kind of surprised! But the worst thing of all, only recess at lunch!!!! GAAAAHH! It’s harder than you think to keep from getting either really bored or over energized. Good thing is, it’s fun to shout ‘WIPE OUT!!!’ whenever teenagers that are skateboarding wipe out or even if they just fall on their back or something. I got to go.

It’s Jess…who else? Well anyway, I think this is my last trip for Summer Vacation !!! But it’s only me. The rest of my family is staying behind. I’m going to my friend’s cottage. Of course my friend will be there, but still. Still waiting for that pet.

And I have bad news….so here it is. My mom and dad are starting to think we shouldn’t a pet now because of my brother. I can’t believe it! This is what I’ve been waiting for all my life and now it’s probably just about gone. Ugh…….

It’s Jess. I know I’ve been talking about getting a guinea pig a lot, but if you can’t get a guinea pig, or if one of your family members has allergies-which is rare- you can get a chinchilla! They’re pretty easy to take care of, I mean easier than a dog, but probably just as easy as a guinea pig. One cool thing about the chinchilla is that they can jump really high….higher than a kid….as in about as high as up to the top of a nine year old kid’s head. That’s why their cages are so HUGE. They’re pretty cool. Chinchillas need much more space to jump around in than a guinea pig does. Plus, if you want to clean your chinchilla up all you need to do is buy the special sand that you use to shower them in. I’ll give WAY more information later. See ya!

You probably already know who this is, but I’ll just say it anyway…. it’s Jess. Anyway, I’m going to post on how to take care of your pet guinea pig if you’re just starting off. First of all I would really like to say that guinea pigs are-out of all the rodents(hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, bunny rabbits, mice, rats)-the most compatible to humans. In fact, their life span is one of the longest also. They don’t need much space, but you should still get a cage that is a good enough size for your guinea pig to adopt to easily and to make itself at home there. Also, if you want to keep your guinea pig and it’s cage clean, I would suggest to clean it’s litter at least every once in a while. For a bedding, you could just use some simple cut up pieces of newspaper or maybe I guess an old sock that you don’t want anymore. The bedding should be big enough for your guinea pig and also, it would me nice to give it a little house to go in or some toys. Usually, for feeding, guinea pigs just need to be fed about once or twice a day. They will eat guinea pig pellets-you can buy them at pet stores-or just little shredded pieces of  lettuce. If you overfeed your guinea pig, and your guinea pig starts looking a bit sick, you should probably hold back on the feeding for a little while. Plus, you can let your guinea pig run around in your room for a bit if it looks like it needs exercise, or if you just want to let it play and run around for a bit. But make sure to always close your room door, and when you put your guinea pig in it’s cage again, don’t forget to close the cage door, because if the cage door is reachable for your guinea pig, they can climb out.
